How it all began

Ka Yan first spotted Jonathan while he was campaigning for a student union position—his face proudly displayed on a giant playing card cut-out, hockey stick in hand. To win votes (and hearts), he performed a slick magic trick that clearly worked on her... even if he doesn’t quite remember it.
Their paths crossed a few more times at social events, but it was at the fated Clapham Grand where they truly noticed each other from across the room—and the rest, as they say, is history.
Nine years later, we're still each other’s Player Two—whether it’s in Overcooked, It Takes Two, or just navigating everyday life. We're finally ready to make it more than Facebook official, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
The proposal
Unbeknownst to Ka Yan, a special campfire was being prepared in Lake Eildon, Australia for Jonathan to perform his cover of ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ with original lyrics as his proposal. Ka Yan was caught completely off guard until Jonathan, holding his smuggled ukelele, said to her, “I think you should stay standing for this one.” With a temporary ring bought from Spitalfields market, Jonathan gallantly got down on one knee and Ka Yan had never been more sure saying “Yes”.
